Sports Medicine

·        Arthroscopic Surgery- all patients with surgical mechanical correction benefit from post op laser

·        Rotator Cuff Repair-dramatically improves ROM and pain control

·        Patellar Tendonitis- laser helps repairtissue/cortisone degrades it

·        Acute sports injuries-treats bruising, pain and swelling

·        PCL (posterior cruciateligament) /ACL surgery-pre-surgically for decreasing pain and inflammationas much as possible prior to surgery (6 visits)

·        Labral tears and partial thicknessrotator cuff tear-surgical avoidance

·        These docs see mostly chronic pain patients. PM& R (or Physiatry) is the careof patients aimed at meeting maximal functional capacitynot necessarily full recovery. Focuseson options for non-surgical care, great spot for laser therapy.

·        Laser will help with chronicpain and inflammation

·        These patients have a disability, disease or are recovering from an accidentor injury. Functional goal is return to work anddaily tasks.
